DMS cartridge compatibility

I have a Phatbox jukebox system in my Volvo (2005) which is a Volvo branded system including the DMS cartridge. The cartridge has stopped working so my question is can I use a standard Phatbox DMS cartridge or one from another car manufacturers system to replace my Volvo one? The only Volvo one I can find would cost me £250 from Sweden! The Volvo cartridge works fine with the standard DMS cradle and software which I bought from ebay.

I think the DMS cartridge hardware is all the same.
You most likely will need to reformat the software of the new DMS cartridge to the familiar software of your Phatbox jukebox system.
