Kenwood CX910 dead, can I use a PHbox?
« on: April 07, 2006, 07:02:56 pm »
My CX910 isn't finishing the boot process, and no one has any ideas or suggestions. I have a Kenwood CRX-XXX headunit that worked fine with my Keg. Can I buy just any PHbox and plug in my cable and drop in my cartidge and off I go? I'd liek it to be that easy, and can't find any info in teh forums saying yes or no.

Plus an Ebay Auctio for just a box is ending soon for cheap.

i had booting trouble too with my 910 and other trouble. i had trouble with the plug itself and it would cause  all sorts of strange problems. the cable was ok but the plug on the keg inside on the pwb had cracked solder . when the pwb was secured with all four screws it put stress on the plug which over time along with the slight stress of the cable being plugged in would cause the solder to crack so i put small washers on the plug posts and only used 2 screws to secure the pwb, resoldered the pins and been working good awhile now....
