Corrupt Track
« on: August 31, 2006, 12:57:05 pm »
Ok, did the hack and upgraded to a 120 gig hard drive, and followed the VW instructions to get it to work an copied all of my music over to the new drive.  Works fine, except when I first turn on the car.  The Phatbox will say "Corrupt Track" before starting to play my songs.  I know it isn't a bad track, since it will start off from where I left off last time.

So, what's the problem?

Jason

Use PMM to reload the VW firmware onto your new DMS.  Delete the files called "forcesettings" and "forceupdate" from the phtsys partition.  That often sorts many post-hack issues.  If not, use the search function on this forum to search "corrupt track" and you may find a few other possibilities.

I'll try deleting "force settings", since the rest of that I had to do as a part of the switchout of hard drives.

I did do a search, but nothing matches up to my problem.

Well, this comes close...

http://forum.phathack.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1148209886

You could follow this and try just deleting or renaming the sound file for the corrupt track message (you can always put it back later if needed).

Did you set the search to go back longer than just the last week?
