Newbie Questions

Okay, bought a 2000 Audi A6 with Bose Symphony HU. Phatbox installed but previous owner had no documentation or software for me. The DMS and head unit were working fine with previous owners music loaded to DMS. I got Musicmanager 1.87 from someone on disk and loaded it to my PC and popped the DMS in the cradle and all seemed to be transfering my playlists without a problem. I take DMS to car, pop it in Phatbox and my head unit won't let me select the CD CHANGER mode. It's as if the phatbox doesn't exist to the HU anymore. I've got no lights lighting up on the phatbox at all. What could be the problem? Is the Phatbox fused separate from the HU? Is the some conflict because I used v1.87 software and I have no idea what the previous owner was using?

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you didn't push the DMS all the way back into the PhatBox... it has to push a switch, or the phatbox doesn't turn on
