Okay, I've taken a look at the logs... and I don't see anything wrong with them.
Any hints as to what problem you are having?

Here’s what I did…

•   Ran the dms tool on my drive
•   When I put the dms in my phat box it didn’t take long at all and then told me to remove the dms
•   The tool then said that the hack failed
•   I ran the tool again
•   The phat box didn’t make any noise and just played the music that was on the dms
•   The dms tool then said that the hack worked
•   I updated the firmware to VW 7.1 with the original DMS. I know that part worked because the voice changed
•   I took a blank HDD and put it in the DMS, Formatted it the same as the original cart, Pri Part FAT32 253MB Sec Part FAT32 25GB
•   I loaded the sys files on the new drive and the phatnoise media manager saw it as a DMS.
•   I loaded some music on the new dms but the drive will not play.

I suspect your problem is that you didn't make the secondary partition properly.

Let the tools make the partition, and you'll be better off.  It needs to be an extended partition with one logical partition in it.

So the PhatHack DMS Tools can partition the drive? If so I dont see where that is. I only see where to update the firmware.

Sure... but all that there is of actual use is a larger hard drive... unless you want to write new software for it.

well it definately has nothing to do with any changes on the PhatBox -- that's all between your steering wheel and your head unit.
