Need Help Phatbox compatability

Hello All,

Currently have a VW Touareg with stock head unit featuring a single CD indash and a CDX button which engages the CD changer in the rear.  I bought a Phatbox and simply hooked up the Phatbox to the rear exchanger cable and it has worked like a dream for 4 yrs.  I'm upgrading to a 2008 Touareg2 with the technology package (w/ navigation) and a 6-disc changer in the rear.  I was wondering if the Phatbox will work if I hook it up to the existing CD changer cable.

Anybody know?  Appreciate any insights.

From what I know the CD changers are backward compatible I don't see why the phatbox wouldn't work. The current VW CD changer can work in models all the way back to 1992 last time I checked. I will look it up again when I go into work tomorrow.
