It can store music but how about videos
« on: August 18, 2005, 02:10:34 pm »
Is it possible to load videos onto the DMS without using the Phatnoise Music Manager software but instead by simply dragging and dropping files in explorer and then playing those files through your Kenwood screen HU.

After all, if the HU can play DVD videos then is there any reason why it cant play videos from the DMS other than the fact that Phatnoise Music Manager doesnt allow you to move video files across?

Any help would be appreciated.  Ill expect the usual 'just buy a carpc' statement from some people

The short answer : No.

There are no video signal pins on the changer bus for kenwood... At least not that I know of.  Even if there were, the video of the phatbox is not connected to the wiring harness as far as I know.

The Keg 2.0 was supposed to get around that by having video outputs on it but never got released.
