digital out on musickeg/phatbox

I would to to bypass the D/A converter and have a plain digital out from one of these. I'm sure it's possible but I would like to know from someone that can get a closer look.

Someone on this board already has done this mod and it works.  I thought that he was going to post some info about how he did it but he has not done so yet.

Really it should be quite simple if you are handy with a solidering iron.  i think.
