Hi,
I have a 2006 VW Golf that I bought recently with Monsoon Head Unit, and a 6-cd chager in the trunk. I bought the phatbox system with cable, 80GB DMS, and USB cradle from another VW guy from a VW forum. When I disconnected the CD changer and connected the phatbox, the headunit does not recognize the phatbox. The green light and red light in front of the phatbox box unit are on (I assume it is receiving power). The green light blinked for a few seconds and then it is on continuously. When I connect the DMS to the computer I see two dirves one showing system files, and another holding data. So I assume the DMS is OK.
I am a newbie to this, so pardon if my question has been answered somewhere else in the forum. Any help is appreciated. How do I find out if I have the correct firmware?
