VW/Audi Phatbox to Music Keg

Maybe the answer to this is obvious but so far I haven't found it precisely in any other posting.

I have all Kenwood HUs but want to buy a VW or Audi Phatbox, since they can be found for less than $200, and include the USB2 cradle and 20GB DMS.

So, to use a VW/Audi PB, do I just need to find the original Kenwood to Keg cable, and flash the PB with the Keg firmware?  Is that it?

I know the cable is another $50-75, I just want to know if it will work.  I don't want to solder anything.

Yes all you need is the right cable and a firmware update.
