I've got 2 DMS drives, one of them (a hacked 40 Gb) died this week :'(
I tested the original 10 Gb drive, it works but it has read and write errors, i think because it wasn't used for a long time.
I have another original 10Gb drive which works but makes some noise so i think this one will crash soon also... not a complete suprise, all drives are more than 10 years old...

And because new IDE drives are rare (and expensive too) i wondered if anybody has modified a Phatbox/Keg and use SATA or SSD drives instead? Would it even be possible to do that? And how?

Thanks

1 person has managed to get an SSD working, several have failed.  There is a thread somewhere on the successful usage.
