i have a kenwood khd-c710. with a dead 10 gb hard drive... i can read the first 12% of the drive and nothing else. i did the dd signature copy to a working 40gb hard drive but it still won't work. boot log

BOOT0-0: OK
BOOT0-1: OK
BOOT0-2: Failed

can you please give me some pointers on how to get this thing working? it powers up the green light flashes 4 times and then continuous.... powers down then starts over and over.

For the new drive to work in the Keg, the Keg must be patched.  To do that you need a working original DMS.

Find somebody with a good DMS to patch your box is the simplest answer

Otherwise there are VERY complicated solutions that require you making a serial cable and having a computer running linux which are not really documented anywhere :)
