Help with cradle on pc

When i atatch the usb2 cradle to my desktop it detects the new hardware but it just comes up with error occured when installing new hardware.  Is this down to the cradle or the dms? i have tried it on 4 diffrent pcs with windows xp,98,ME,2000 and 2003!!! smae with happens with all os's.

Any help would be appreciated

I get the same message until i plug my DMS in, then the message goes away and works fine.
