WD 250GB and Vista headaches
« on: May 26, 2008, 03:41:41 pm »
Ok, I'm having major frustrations with my new WD 250GB drive in Vista.  If I have it in the cradle when I shutdown or boot it increases my boot time by 10-15 minutes.  Vista detects it as a Universal Serial Bus Controllers\USB Mass Storage Device and a Disk Drives\Disk Drive.  Where as when I have the original DMS drive it's detected as Disk Drives\USB-HS PhatNoise DMS 20 USB Device.  Could the way that Vista is detecting my drive be causing all my problems?

I've been having a heck of time trying to create the new drive as a new DMS.  I think I'm really close but does anyone have an exact list of what files are on each partition?
