Change VW PB to Traffic Pro

can i change VW Phatbox to Traffic Pro 4720 (not a BMW Version) ? I want a cable diagram (pinouts Traffic Pro to Phatbox).

look on http://www.phathack.com/pinouts.html -- I believe traffic pro is the same as BMW with blitzsafe adaptor.... you need a modified adaptor, and I've yet to actually find any instructuons on modifying it

The pinouts from traffic pro are:

7 - on
8 - operating voltage 12V
9 - ground
10 - bus
11 - clock
12 - reset

19 - af left

Hi,

It looks like you took the Phatbox connections from my wiki page for the Volvo interface.  Are you sure thatt the TrafficPro unit is the same?

The power and audio signals don't seem to change between different head units.  But the other interface signals most definitely do.  They are specific to the firmware that is loaded into the Phatbox, and different firmwares also use different numbers of signals.  The clock, data and busy pins that you show on pins 8, 21 and 22 are specific to the Volvo interface.  From what I have seen, no other firmware or head unit uses those same pins.

Different pins on the Phatbox have different hardware capabilities (in terms of being inputs or outputs or bidirectional) and some also have different voltage and / or current capabilities.  As a consequence it could be damaging to the Phatbox or the head unit (or both) if connections are made to the wrong pins.  

I don't know anything about the TrafficPro set up, but it would be taking a risk to use the connections suggested without checking against a known working interface cable.

Thanks, yes the connections are from Volvo interface. I have no pinouts for a traffic pro  to phatbox . Need i an blitzsave adaptor ?

Traffic Pro uses the Sony connections

Does anybody have the pinouts for sony?  I've been trying to get that for liek a year and a half with no luck, I'm almost ready to start guessing on the pinout...  I probably will if the adaptor for my car gets here before I find pinouts
